A birth doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth. A doula educates you on what to expect and advocates for you.

High risk doulas have specialuzed training in areas like preeclampsia ( & other blood pressure conplicatiins), diabetes and more. A high risk doula can help with education, following your progress and symproms and offer holistic interventions ao that you can manage your high risk pregnancy.

Childbirth preparation is an important tool that helps dispel the myths and fears that are associated with childbirth. You are in control of your birth experience and preparation provides the education you need to make informed choices. Peparation gives you the tools necessary to ready your body for the work of labor and delivery. You will learn positions and relaxation techniques for managing pain in labor. You wouldn't run a marathon without training, why wouldn't you train yourself for the marathon of labor?

A birth doula can provide continuous support, comfort measures, advocacy, and guidance during labor to help you have a positive birthing experience.

I offer up to 2 in home postpartum visits where I  will evaluate breastfeeding, recovery and provide limited newborn care education, emotional support, and guidance for adjusting to life with a newborn. If necessary, I  can guide you to specialized services.
